Q: Will there be tax applied to my order?

A: Only items shipped to the state of California are subject to sales tax.

Q: Do you offer trade pricing or volume discounts?

A: Quite possibly, please contact a sales associate to find out whether or not your needs apply for discount, (310) 271-0178.

Q: What is the lead time on my order?

A: This depends. Some items are in stock and ship immediately. Others are stocked within a US warehouse which could add another 2-4 weeks. In the case that the item is out of stock in the US please allow for 8-12 weeks in order to receive the item form Europe.

Q: Can I request expedited shipping for an additional fee?

A: This is sometimes a possibility and we are happy to accommodate whenever possible. Please contact an associate for further information, (310) 271-0178.

Q: Is assembly required?

A: There are some items in our collection that do require assembly. All hardware for assembly or installation are provided within the product packaging as well as complete assembly instructions in multiple languages. When in doubt please contact an associate, (310) 271-0178.

Q: How resistant to damage are Kartell products?

A: The majority of Kartell items are near impossible to chip or break. However, due to the nature of the material they are prone to scratch. One should take care to avoid harsh contact to the item’s surfaces.

Q: Are all Kartell items manufactured in Italy?

A: Absolutely yes. Founded in 1949, Kartell has based its company and production out of Italy from the beginning. Kartell headquarters is currently located in Milan, Italy.

Q: What is the best agent for cleaning Kartell items?

A: Kartell does produce a Cleaning Kit for its consumers that can be ordered by contacting Kartell Los Angeles. At the same time a soft cotton cloth and perhaps a little water will typically do the trick. Please do not use glass cleaner on any plastic item, it will dull the surface.

Q: Can I special order an item with any fabric or color of my choice?

A: Unfortunately no. The technological engineering behind each piece of Kartell furniture is extensive and specific. When an item goes into production the manufacturing has been thoroughly thought through leaving little to no room for variation.

Q: Can I request physical color samples of any particular product?

A: Do not fret; the colors given on the site either represented by the images or color swatches provided are as close as possible to the actual shade of the item.

Q: What are the maximum voltage and/or wattage for lighting items?

A: Each Kartell lamp has a tension voltage of 120. However, wattage does vary from lamp to lamp. Please check the item before installing any light bulbs that are not specifically provided by Kartell.
